The Chazan Gallery presents We Don’t Make Mistakes a group show featuring Sam Duket, Bradley Fesmire, Shawn Gilheeney, Buck Hastings and Neal T. Walsh, from March 7 to March 27. There will be an opening reception on Friday, March 7 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The public is invited.
We Don’t Make Mistakes is about the passion and pursuit of making paintings. The show is part bravado, part mantra, but mostly a celebration of the hand made and hard won.
Shawn Gilheeney is a printer, painter, and installation artist. He earned his BFA in printmaking from Rhode Island College in 2008. Gilheeney pulls forth beauty from the essence of industrial landscapes by reducing them to abstract forms and incorporating organic elements into the artistic process.Buck Hastings
Bradley Fesmire received an MFA in painting from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2005 and is the Program Director at RiverzEdge, a RI arts organization that works with at risk youth He has had numerous exhibitions in New York, New England and Europe. His work is driven by personal narrative, ideas of place, craft and work.
Neal T.Walsh, (paintclot.blogspot.com) is the gallery director at AS220 and a working artist. Walsh’s abstract paintings are grounded in the urban landscape, made from observation of phenomenal experiences of light and color in the urban and natural environment.
